discrimination is treatment towards a group based by there class.
Summary
when the jim crow laws were in affect in the early 1900's, segeration was everywere including public schools,public transportation, restrooms and resturants. They even seperated the blacks and the whites in the milatary. when the law was around blacks were concidered second class citizens. Most white people thought that blacks were inferior to whites.

Why Should We Care??

  • We should care because everyone deserves to be treated equal, not matter what their skin color or their background is.
  • Led to treatment and accommodations that were usually inferior to those provided for white Americans, systematizing a number of economic, educational and social disadvantages
  • The court ruling did not stop de facto or residentially based school segregation. Such segregation continues today in many regions.
